Our History

From our roots in Garfield, New Jersey; it started with David's first vocal group, The Hi-Fives then moved to Joey Dee & The Starliters which served as the launching pad for The Rascals.

The Rascals signed to Atlantic records in late 1965 and enjoyed a string of hit albums and singles until their 1970 departure . They scored three NUMBER ONE singles; Good Lovin, Groovin’ and People Got To Be Free, 5 gold albums and one platinum!

Eddie Brigati

Eddie Brigati, born in Garfield, New Jersey in 1945, is an influential singer, songwriter, and founding member of the legendary 1960s rock n' soul group, The Rascals.

Brigati’s passion for music was ignited by his older brother, David, who performed with Joey Dee and The Starliters during their famous "Peppermint Twist" era.

As the co-lead vocalist and primary lyricist for The Rascals, Eddie became the creative force behind a string of generation-defining hits. He penned and sang on chart-topping classics like "Groovin'," "How Can I Be Sure," and "People Got to Be Free."

True to his roots, he continues to live and work in New Jersey.
